Xinhua News Agency, Damascus, August 16. According to a report by the Syrian News Agency on the 16th, the US military transferred a new batch of oil illegally extracted in northeastern Syria to Iraq on the same day.

SANA quoted local sources as saying that the U.S. military transported oil stolen from Syria to a U.S. military base in Iraq via a convoy of 65 oil tankers that day.

According to the report, the number of oil tankers recently transferred by the US military to Iraq has reached 398.

At present, many parts of northeastern Syria are controlled by the "Syrian Democratic Army", which is mainly led by the Syrian Kurdish armed "People's Protection Forces" and is supported by the US-led international coalition against the extremist organization "Islamic State".

In recent years, the Syrian government has repeatedly accused the US military of stealing and transshipping oil in northeastern Syria.
