How the company is affected by the price record: "We have to produce at night"

During Wednesday morning, new records were broken regarding the price per kilowatt hour in electricity area 4, which includes Blekinge.

When electricity now costs seven kroner, it has major consequences for both Blekinge residents and businesses.

Blekinge Pressgjuteri in Sölvesborg, which press-casts aluminum goods, is now forced to raise the prices of its customer goods by around ten percent.

Is there a risk that you will have to reduce the number of employees?

- No I do not think so.

But the discussions we are having now are that we intend to switch to driving at night only.

We are simply not allowed to work during the day, so we have to try to reduce energy costs that way, says Mats Johansson, who is chairman of the board of the company.
