The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that it will send military forces to Russia to conduct joint exercises, while German military aircraft arrived for the first time in the Indo-Pacific countries for training and other activities.

The Sino-Russian maneuvers, which were postponed for two years due to the Corona pandemic, will start on August 30 and will continue until September 5.

The maneuvers, called "East 2022" this year, will be huge in terms of area and number of participating forces, and they will take place in 13 military fields in the Russian Far East and near the border with China.

German military deployment

Meanwhile, a squadron of the German Air Force reached Singapore, its last stop before heading to Australia to participate for the first time in air maneuvers in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

The German Air Force will send military aircraft to Japan, Australia, South Korea and Singapore for joint exercises and other activities.

The German Air Force Commander said that by sending the planes, Berlin aims to show that it is thinking about security outside Europe, expressing his eagerness to increase Germany's participation in maintaining security in Asia, including Japan.

The German squadron includes 6 Eurofighter Typhoon fighters, 3 air-to-air refueling planes, and a transport plane, in addition to 200 German soldiers.
