Eintracht Frankfurt is cracking down on dealers who have offered tickets for the club's games, especially in the Europa League, on the black and gray markets.

According to a statement by Eintracht, 100 cases were identified together with a law firm in which 320 tickets, mainly for games against FC Barcelona, against West Ham United and for the final in Seville against Glasgow Rangers, were sold via portals such as Ebay, Ebay -Classifieds and other platforms were offered for sale.

According to Eintracht, these were probably also members and holders of season tickets for the club.

Depending on the individual case, the measures taken against the dealers range from skimming off profits and contractual penalties to the termination of any existing season ticket contracts.

In many cases, there should also be exclusion procedures and the withdrawal of membership from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tickets for the games were circulated on the Internet at prices well in excess of the original amount, as well as fake tickets.

In fan circles, this caused a stir around the Europa League games.

Philipp Reschke, board member at Eintracht Frankfurt, said the effort to identify the ticket dealers is worth it, even if it sometimes takes longer.

"Anyone who uses the privilege of being able to purchase such tickets for such coveted games to their economic advantage and to the detriment of our supporters will have to reckon with lasting consequences, especially in the Champions League season ahead of us," said Reschke.
