The 57-year-old then hit a 31-year-old man in the back of the head with an ax, who had to be taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
The prosecutor demanded that the 57-year-old be convicted of attempted murder, but because, according to several witnesses, the 31-year-old first attacked the 57-year-old with his fists, the district court changed the criminal classification to aggravated assault.
Therefore, the 31-year-old is also sentenced for minor assault and 120 daily fines of SEK 50, as well as paying SEK 5,000 in damages to the 57-year-old.

The police were called to Bussparken in the central parts of Visby on 20 June.
A crime scene was cordoned off for technical investigation.
