The spread of monkeypox has reached Iran

According to the Iranian state news agency IRNA, Iranian authorities have announced that the country has received its first case of monkeypox, AP reports.

The victim is a 34-year-old woman in the southwestern city of Ahvaz.

According to a spokesperson for Iranian health authorities, the woman and her family informed a doctor after she developed a rash on her hands. 

Biden signs reform package for climate investments

US President Joe Biden has signed the Democrats' major reform package for investments in energy and climate that was hammered out recently by Congress.

This means that the law will come into force and that over 370 billion dollars will be invested in climate and energy programs.

The investments are financed through minimum taxes for large companies and tax on companies that buy back their own shares.

Separatist leaders from Donbas want to cooperate with North Korea

According to North Korean state media, Denis Pushilin, the leader of Russian-backed separatist forces in the Donetsk region, has written to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that he wants to see "mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation" with the country.
