"Air Force Global Strike Command personnel launched a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile without a charge, equipped with a test warhead returning to the Earth's atmosphere," TASS reports a US Air Force unit.
The launch was made at 00:49 Pacific Time (10:49 Moscow time) from the state of California, where the Vandenberg Space Force Base is located.
The launch of the rocket was also postponed in April - US Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said that this was done to avoid tension with Russia in the nuclear field.
