U.S. State Department Spokesperson Says Iran's Demands to Lift Sanctions on Iran "No Room to Achieve"

On August 16, local time, US State Department spokesman Price said at a briefing that day that Iran has been making demands unrelated to the resumption of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, including requests to lift its economic sanctions.

Price said that there is no room for negotiating the relevant requirements, and if Iran wants to lift the relevant sanctions, it needs to change its basic behavior.

He also noted that the United States agreed with the EU's basic view that "everything that can be negotiated" in the Iran nuclear deal negotiations has been negotiated.
