The Egyptian Ministry of Interior: a fire in a church in Minya, without loss of life

 Today, Tuesday, the security services of the Ministry of Interior in Egypt revealed that a fire broke out in a church in Minya Governorate.

A security source said that the security services received a report from the officials of the Anba Bishoy Church in Minya about a fire and smoke rising in one of the closed halls of the church.

Immediately, the civil protection forces moved in and were able to control the fire and put it out without causing any loss of life.

The examination revealed that the fire broke out in the ceiling of the hall, and by asking church officials and witnesses to the incident, they confirmed that the fire was caused by a short circuit, and legal measures are being taken.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, confirmed that the fire did not result in any deaths, while one citizen suffocated due to the smoke rising from the fire, and he was treated at the scene of the accident and his condition does not require transportation to the hospital.

The spokesman indicated that ambulances will continue to be stationed at the scene of the accident until the complete completion of the firefighting and cooling work, in anticipation of any developments.
