Police have launched an investigation after a body was found in a bag that a resident bought without knowing the contents at a warehouse auction in New Zealand.
According to the New Zealand media on the 16th (Yesterday), a family living in Manurewa, southern Auckland, bought toys and bags at a warehouse auction on the 11th, selling items that their owners would not go to, and were surprised to find a body inside the bag. Surprised, I reported it to the police.
One media reported the situation at the time when the family bought an item stored in a small warehouse at an online auction and brought it home to open it and find the body.
The media said the police were silent about the investigation, so it is not known how many victims or who they were.
A detective said, "The people living in the house are not involved in the case through the police interrogation so far," he said.
A neighbor of the family who bought the bag containing the body said that as soon as they opened the bag in the front yard that the family had brought in a trailer along with a stroller, toys, and walkers, the stench could be smelled by the neighbors.
Another neighbor said his son witnessed people in the neighbourhood step back in surprise as they opened their bags from the trailer.
A former detective with long-standing homicides with the New Zealand Police Department said, "If you witness a situation like this, you will never forget it."
