A new incident occurred at a Russian base in Crimea at dawn on Tuesday August 16.

Moscow denounces sabotage.

A power plant, a high voltage line, a railway line and several houses were damaged this morning around 6 am local time.

After mentioning an accidental fire, the authorities are now talking about sabotage.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the fire took place in an ammunition depot in a village about ten kilometers from Djankoi, capital of the eponymous district, that is to say in the north of the

Crimean

peninsula .

The explosions that followed would have lasted several hours according to the governor of Crimea who went there.

Two people were injured from the same source, and the authorities carried out evacuations.

Videos of burning electrical transformers are circulating on the internet.

Railway line affected

The railway line is also affected.

The Crimean Ministry of Transport has announced the installation of replacement coaches on a section towards the Kerch Strait.

Explosions are not accidental.
