It is noted that 30.5% of respondents reported a single hacking fact, and another 12.4% reported multiple hacking.

According to the study, almost half of the survey participants received fake messages from alleged acquaintances asking for financial assistance.

48% of social media users have received such messages at least once this year, according to the survey.

In most cases (42%), users did not react in any way to messages from intruders, and a quarter of respondents laughed it off in response.

At the same time, as analysts found out, 6% lost money by sending a transfer to scammers.

At the same time, users themselves are in no hurry to comply with additional security measures on the network - a third of those surveyed never change passwords from their social networks.

The majority of respondents change their passwords every few months (21.9%), every six months (19.9%) or no more than once a year (21.5%).

It is also important that the vast majority of survey participants (76.4%) use VPN services to access social networks that are blocked by Roskomnadzor, which increases the vulnerability of access.

The study was conducted by the method of online survey of respondents, among 1205 Russians aged 18 to 60 years (60% of men and 40% of women) living in 16 regional centers of the country and being active users of gadgets and the Internet.
