Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that it issued violations against owners and renters of water bikes due to the expiration of licenses for their use, entry into prohibited places such as swimming areas and hotel beaches, and non-compliance with the times specified for using water bikes.
She explained that the fine for driving an expired water bike is 100 dirhams, the fine for using it for a purpose other than its intended purpose is 150 dirhams, and the fine for using it at unauthorized times is 300 dirhams, and the use of the bike near the beach at least 180 meters exposes it to seizure, because This distance is for swimming only.
She added that it is prohibited, according to the law, to disembark or use water bikes unless they are licensed by the Federal Authority in Ras Al Khaimah or any competent authority from outside the emirate, with temporary permits to be given for the purposes of racing or any temporary event determined by the competent authorities, provided that the executive regulations specify the necessary conditions. To grant a license or permit and its duration.
It indicated that it carried out several awareness campaigns aimed at spreading the law regulating the use and rental of water bikes, including the emirate's beaches, water bike rental shops, hotels, ports, private marine parking lots and tourist resorts that provide the service of renting this type of bikes in order to familiarize those in charge of them with the terms and conditions for using and renting water bikes that It is included in the local government decree, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of others, and to prevent causing any inconvenience that may occur as a result of non-compliance with them, and thus to avoid exposure to legal accountability and the consequent penalties that are imposed against violators of them.
Ras Al Khaimah Police called on water bike users to abide by the laws and ensure the availability of public safety equipment such as life jackets, regular maintenance, and be careful not to approach private and tourist ships.
