In collisions between an unprotected road user and a vehicle, there is a significant difference in terms of chance of survival, the police state.
In the event of a collision with a motor vehicle at 30 kilometers per hour, there is a reasonable chance of survival, the Swedish Transport Administration states.
At a speed of 50 kilometers per hour, however, the chance of survival is minimal.
