It was this weekend that the Social Democrats in Olofström were exposed to vandalism through sabotage of the party's election posters.
The posters that are up in the municipality have been torn down and destroyed.
"When the election campaign is affected and election materials are destroyed, I find it a threat to democracy and it makes me both sad and upset," writes municipal councilor Morgan Bengtsson (S) on Facebook.
Report the incident to the police
The party itself has gone out on its social media and shown pictures of the destroyed posters, something that Sydöstran was the first to tell.
The incident has now been reported to the police.
"Despite different opinions and positions, I do not want any party to be subjected to this, but that we together stand up against these people who want our freedom of expression and democracy to be damaged or destroyed," writes Morgan Bengtsson.
