“Work to eliminate the fire has been completely stopped,” TASS quoted him as saying.
The Deputy Minister said that the rescuers are focused solely on the search and rescue operation.
“New pockets of fire can sometimes appear, but its spread is stopped,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that the death toll in the explosion at the Surmalu market in Yerevan increased to seven.
It was also reported that a Russian citizen was reported missing after an explosion at a market in Yerevan.
