Putin congratulated the Indian authorities on the 75th anniversary of the republic's independence

"Please accept my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's independence," the Kremlin website said in a telegram.

Putin also noted the success of cooperation between Russia and India within the framework of the UN, BRICS and SCO.

Earlier, Putin congratulated Draupadi Murma on his election as head of state in India.
