Europe 1 went to the Fraispertuis family amusement park in the Vosges, which welcomes 4,000 visitors each year, to meet Maxime, a maintenance technician for 13 years.

The young man is busy inspecting the smallest machine, and confides in his pleasure to see the result of the work done.

In the Vosges, the family amusement park of Fraispertuis City, with a western atmosphere, welcomes 4,000 visitors a day between April and October.

On the occasion of the summer holidays, Europe 1 went before its opening to meet Maxime, a maintenance technician who has been pampering the attractions and the 35 rides in the park for 13 years.

"I am checking the trains of the roller coaster so that everything is ready, that there is no problem before the opening", he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

Hearing checks

In the basement, in the depths of the attraction, Maxime warns: "It's going to make a little noise!"

"Under the trains, we have access to all the wheels, the whole chassis of the train, that's what we check visually", he explains, before taking out a big key.

"It's not to tighten screws, in fact I tap on the wheels. If I hear a fault, I hear it by noise", says the technician, who has a sufficient size to carry out these checks.

"For short people, we have a small platform, which is a little easier for inspections," he adds.

"The reward of seeing people having fun"

When Europe 1 tells him that he has a heavy responsibility on his shoulders, "yes, it's fun, but it's also a bit of stress", replies Maxime.

"It's normal, you have to be sure that everything is going well, that there are no problems. It's a bit stressful, but afterwards, you still have the reward of seeing people having fun in it and that's satisfying."

"Here, everything is good. We can put on the music and we're ready", indicates the maintenance technician, on the lookout for the slightest problem during the day.

"I do laps to be sure that everything is going well. Afterwards, ideally, I am not in an attraction. That would mean that there is a small problem", smiles Maxime.
