In a press release, the presidency affirms that the redeployment of the French forces is effective on August 15, 2022. A rearticulation “ 

carried out in complete transparency with the Malian armed forces and with the partners committed to our side

”, affirms the Elysée.

France remains committed to the Sahel, the Gulf of Guinea and the Lake Chad region with all the partners committed to stability and the fight against terrorism 

", adds the press release, in which the French presidency pays tribute to the commitment of "

 all soldiers

 " who fought against armed groups in Mali.
