With about a month left until the election, the City of Gothenburg has increased the pace with various activities that can contribute to more people going and voting.

The Democracy Bus is supposed to visit around twenty locations around Gothenburg where voter turnout has been low.

- We have areas such as Biskopsgården where the voter turnout is 56 percent.

We are different people with different language skills and ages in order to reach as many people as possible, says Zlate Musli, project manager for Hisingen's resident guides.

Working for more equal electoral participation

In the electoral strengthening work, the democracy bus has four target groups that they work according to which are the younger and older, people with functional variations and areas with lower turnout.

How do you avoid promoting certain parties?

- We don't talk about politics at all.

We're just talking about it being an election year and the practical information.

We never enter into any political information or discussion, says Zlate Musli.
