“Wang Yi, commenting on the Taiwan issue and Beijing’s position, stressed that China must give the necessary and legitimate responses to every blatant provocation undertaken by the United States,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry website says.
Earlier, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said that the PRC urges the United States to respect Beijing's vital interests and give up illusions about using Taiwan to control China.
