The Chinese military's Eastern Theater Command, which has jurisdiction over the East China Sea, announced on the 15th that it had conducted practical military exercises in the waters and airspace around Taiwan.



According to Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense, by the evening of the 15th, a total of 30 Chinese military aircraft and five naval vessels were active in the Taiwan Strait area, and a total of 14 fighter planes crossed the "median line" of the Strait. In Taiwan, five bipartisan members of the Senate and Senate, including Senator Markey of the United States, visited Taiwan and met with President Tsai Ing-wen on the 15th, and the Chinese military said that the exercise was a countermeasure to the visit. .
