The Russian Embassy expressed condolences in connection with the explosion in Yerevan

According to RIA Novosti, the corresponding statement was published by the diplomatic mission in its social networks.

“We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of the explosion that took place this afternoon on the territory of the Surmalu shopping center.

We wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the statement said.

Earlier it was reported about 60 injured and three dead as a result of an explosion in a market in Yerevan.

According to the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, Gor Abrahamyan, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of the explosion at the Surmalu market in Yerevan under two articles of the Criminal Code.
