Prime Minister Han Deok-soo presided over an inspection meeting with related organizations in relation to the nationwide heavy rains at the Seoul Reimbursement Center in the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Room of the Government Complex Seoul at 9 am today (14th).



Prime Minister Han said, "Relevant institutions such as the central government and local governments should be thoroughly prepared in advance so that damage can be minimized without increasing tension."



He also ordered, "In the damaged area, mobilize all available manpower and equipment, including public officials, military forces, firefighters, and police, for rapid emergency recovery, and take all measures to prevent further damage."



He also emphasized, "I ask that you do your best to prevent additional casualties by strengthening the monitoring and inspection of areas prone to landslides and flooding in low-lying areas, valleys, and riversides, and providing thorough evacuation guidance for semi-subterranean houses and vulnerable groups in particular."



It also urged relevant ministries and local governments to work in an emergency posture.
