  The reporter learned from the organizer that the Guangzhou competition has gradually become an event to promote the youth entrepreneurial culture in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will explore excellent science and technology innovation projects and teams for Guangzhou, and attract science and technology talents from the Greater Bay Area to gather in Nansha, Guangzhou; and help the construction of Nansha. The special zone for international talents with global influence is constantly striving towards the goal of being an important bearing area for the international science and technology innovation center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

  Under the collegial discussion of professional judges from academia, industry, venture capital and other fields, the champion of the 2022 Guangzhou competition area was won by the "Optical Microscopic Imaging System and Technical Services" project, and the second-prize winning project "Pinpo RNA Next-Generation Nucleic Acid In Situ" "Industrialization of Hybrid Detection Technology" and "Translational Research on Whole Liver Bioartificial Liver" entered the national finals to compete for prize money.

  "This year, the Guangzhou competition has opened a college student innovation track and an international science and technology talent track for the first time, encouraging more undergraduate, master's and doctoral students from domestic and foreign universities to actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship, and show their unique business ideas."   Lu Zhiqiang introduced that every year, high-quality projects will enter the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao (International) Youth Innovation Workshop (hereinafter referred to as "Innovation Workshop") through the Guangzhou Competition, and take root in Nansha. The complex provides 2 years of free open work spaces and a series of entrepreneurial training activities for young entrepreneurs.

  "Innovation Workshop provides a series of supporting services for entrepreneurship, and we hope to build a national brand of high-end optical microscopy imaging systems based on the Bay Area." said Dr. Lou Kai, the head of the championship project "Optical Microscopic Imaging System and Technical Services" in this Guangzhou competition. The project is a local entrepreneurial team in Nansha incubated in the innovation workshop, bringing together a group of master and doctoral talents from first-class universities at home and abroad and senior engineers in the industry.

  Like Lou Kai, a technology innovation company founded by Chen Ziqiang from Malaysia and his partner is also incubated in the innovation workshop. The company's entry project won the winner of the Guangzhou competition.

Chen Ziqiang told reporters that their team is mainly engaged in the research and development of electronic devices. In the initial stage of entrepreneurship, policies such as free site rent and talent subsidies in the innovation workshop have relieved their financial pressure and allowed them to focus more on research and development.

  Chen Zhenxian from Taiwan participated in the Guangzhou competition with the project "Design and Manufacturing of Innovative Technology Platforms and Core Materials for 5G Smartphone Thermal Management Key Components" and won the third prize in one fell swoop.

He said that the strong atmosphere of technological innovation in the Greater Bay Area is very attractive to him. He has now established a company in Guangzhou and has cooperated with many well-known mobile phone manufacturers.
