Emmanuel Macron is currently on vacation at Fort Brégançon in the Var.

The return of the government is scheduled for the week of August 22.

The Head of State also spoke on Saturday with the President of the Jura Departmental Council, Clément Pernot, the local firefighters manager, the prefect and the deputy Danielle Brulebois (LREM) after the resumption of fires in this department on Saturday. .

The fire resumed in the Vescles and Cernon sector, bringing the total of land burned to more than 800 hectares since Tuesday in the Jura.

The president testified to his "solidarity" and welcomed "the acts of local solidarity and mobilization", in particular farmers who supplied the firefighters with water, it was specified.

Emmanuel Macron asked the prefect of Jura to see "how we could requisition them a posteriori" in order to compensate them for their efforts.
