"It was very fast, it went at a crazy speed. I saw my opponent a little next to it, I said to myself + I must not let go +. I am breaking the French record, I am really too happy, it was a great race", reacted the gold medalist, who had suffered a shoulder injury at the start of the year.

"In training, I felt great, I was very high on the water and everything was fine. I said to myself why not, and that's it. First European championship, first title, that's something something good and I hope I can continue like this. It motivates me for the future", she added.

Mary-Ambre Moluh, the second Frenchwoman entered in the Final, had to settle for 6th place with a time of 27.95.
