The Katrineholm Cup started on Friday and ends on Sunday.

It is played on football pitches across the city and over 2,000 players participate.

Of the 130 teams that came to play, 24 were girls' teams, thanks in large part to a campaign last spring when the registration fee was waived for girls' teams that registered before April 30.

It is primarily teams from Stockholm, Uppsala and Örebro that have found their way to Katrineholm.

- We are satisfied with that.

It's a good start, so we can continue to build, says cup general Christer Hellqvist.
