“Despite the embargo on a number of Belarusian export items - woodworking, metal products, oil products, mineral fertilizers, we still continue to trade with the European Union,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Golovchenko, exports to such countries as Poland, the Czech Republic and Spain increased compared to the same data of the previous year.

In June, the European Union announced new sanctions against Belarus that would affect fertilizer producer Belaruskali and its export division.

The new restrictions also cover the state television and radio broadcasting company Belteleradio and a number of companies producing tobacco products.
