Russia declares full control of the Ukrainian town of Peske

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that Russian forces had fully taken control of the village of Pesky, located on the outskirts of Ukraine's Donetsk region, Interfax news agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying.

Russian and pro-Russian forces had said that they had taken complete control of Pesci for more than a week.

Interfax quoted the ministry as also saying that Russian forces had destroyed a missile battery of the HIMARS system supplied by the United States to Ukraine near Ukraine's Kramatorsk region.
