Today, Saturday, the Egyptian House of Representatives approved, in an emergency session called by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the amendment of 13 ministerial portfolios.

The amendment included the dismissal of several ministers, most notably the Minister of Education, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, the Minister of Immigration, the Minister of Health and Population, and the Minister of Military Production.

Al-Sisi said - earlier - that the council's invitation to convene is aimed at discussing the amendment of a number of ministerial portfolios that it was agreed to change after consulting with the Prime Minister.

Al-Sisi explained that the goal of this ministerial reshuffle is to develop the government’s performance in some important internal and external files, which contribute to protecting the state’s interests and capabilities.
