“Since last week, a fee of 1,000 rubles has been charged only for the return of goods requiring special transportation conditions.

For example, large-sized and fragile goods are only 2% of our range,” the retailer’s press service told TASS.

The specified groups of goods in Wildberries included TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, etc. At the same time, the delivery of goods, including the ascent to the floor, remained free.

The marketplace warned that the system is in test mode and failures may occur. 

Previously, Wildberries launched an automated system to combat counterfeiting.

It was also reported that as part of the new financial policy, the marketplace switched to settlements in national currencies with international partners.
