"The US Army announced today the deployment of the 101st Division Brigade Headquarters from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in the fall, to support ... our European and NATO allies," TASS reported.
It is noted that about 260 US troops will be sent to Europe on a temporary basis.
In July, the US State Department said that NATO had no "aggressive intentions" towards Moscow.
