In his letter, the deputy head of the Ministry of Health said that the department generally supports the proposal to introduce restrictions on the sale of strong alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of 20% or more by catering establishments located in park and coastal recreation areas in the summer.

“The Ministry of Health is ready to consider draft regulatory legal acts aimed at implementing the introduction of restrictions on the sale of strong alcoholic beverages,” the text of the letter says.

State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev told RT that in the near future the lower house of parliament would develop a corresponding bill.

As RT wrote, in early July, deputy Khamzaev proposed limiting the sale of strong alcohol by catering establishments located in parks and coastal recreation areas, the consumption of which in the heat can lead to significant health consequences.
