“As a result of the offensive actions of the allied forces in the Soledar area, the losses of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 2 thousand people,” said the official representative of the Russian defense department, Igor Konashenkov.
According to him, the Ukrainian command withdrew the remnants of the personnel of the brigade to the rear areas.
Earlier, the DPR stated that the allied forces were fighting in the industrial zones of Soledar and Artyomovsk.
Also, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Akhmat special forces soldiers, together with the second corps of the People's Militia of the LPR, took control of the Knauf plant in Soledar.
