The military dispatched soldiers and equipment from the 52nd and 56th Divisions of the Capital Defense Command, the Special Warfare Command, and the 30th Armored Brigade to Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, which suffered flood damage due to the rain from the 8th, to search for missing persons, remove soil from flooded houses, and clean up the environment. He also emphasized that he should pay special attention to command so that soldiers can safely complete their missions with thorough accident prevention training and ensuring adequate rest.
As torrential rain is forecasted until next week, the Ministry of National Defense is planning to proactively secure the safety of soldiers and incidental facilities while actively promoting public support activities in close cooperation with the government and local governments.
