Defense Minister Lee Jong-seop visited the flood recovery site in Seoul today (12th) and encouraged the soldiers who came to support them, the Ministry of National Defense said.



The military dispatched soldiers and equipment from the 52nd and 56th Divisions of the Capital Defense Command, the Special Warfare Command, and the 30th Armored Brigade to Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, which suffered flood damage due to the rain from the 8th, to search for missing persons, remove soil from flooded houses, and clean up the environment. We support recovery.



Minister Lee said, "I am proud and proud of all of you who are dedicated to recovering from flood damage while working hard to protect people's lives and property." and instructed.



He also emphasized that he should pay special attention to command so that soldiers can safely complete their missions with thorough accident prevention training and ensuring adequate rest.



As torrential rain is forecasted until next week, the Ministry of National Defense is planning to proactively secure the safety of soldiers and incidental facilities while actively promoting public support activities in close cooperation with the government and local governments.
