The long-hauler Way out West, just like the rest of the music and event industry, has been badly affected during the corona pandemic.

But after only being able to offer online events and smaller concerts, the music festival can now open its doors.

- This is what we have wanted to do since we had to cancel 2020, says Filip Hiltmann, marketing and communications manager at Way out West.

Received financial support

The festival has received financial support during the pandemic, but has also been helped financially by many who bought tickets for the 2020 festival choosing to keep them instead of getting their money back.

- It has given a lot of motivation, to know that there are so many people who want to go even though we have had to cancel.

Records can be broken

After a long break, it seems that many people are hungry for the festival, and with a little luck, the festival's attendance record can be broken.

- We expect a new record with over 30,000 unique visitors every day, says Filip Hiltmann.

When the 2019 edition was over, planning began for 2020, which became 2021, which became 2022. Filip Hiltmann believes that several years of planning will be felt.

- We have had a lot of time to think about what can be done differently and what can be done better, I think visitors will see that.
