The discussion about the development of four tracks on the train section between Uppsala and Stockholm has been going on for a long time.

Moderate party leader Ulf Kristersson believes that continued delays on the route are unsustainable in the long run.

- We cannot have a situation where one of Sweden's most important labor shortage regions suffers from constant delays.

That's why I think it's time for four tracks, decide now, says Ulf Kristersson, party leader for the Moderates.

Begins during the next mandate period

Kristersson believes that if the proposal goes through, the expansion will begin during the coming term.

- This means that this will be completed during the 20s, says Ulf Kristersson.

The Social Democrats have previously stated that construction can be expected to start in 2026 and completion in 2033/2024.
