The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia proposed to reduce the rate on preferential IT mortgages from 5% to 3%

The draft government decree, according to RIA Novosti, is published on the official portal of legal acts.

A preferential mortgage can be issued by IT-specialists with Russian citizenship, aged 22 to 44 inclusive.

Earlier it was reported that senators of the Federation Council approved a law containing tax support measures to stimulate the development of the Russian IT industry.

In June, Maksut Shadayev, the head of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, said that Russian banks had approved about 6,000 applications for subsidized mortgages for IT specialists.
