Taliban official killed in Kabul blast
A prominent Taliban cleric was killed in an attack in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
Today, Thursday, the Afghan Tolo News channel reported that a prominent cleric, Rahimullah Haqqani, was killed in an explosion in his religious school.
The Taliban later confirmed his death and spoke of a "brutal attack carried out by a ruthless enemy."
Four sources told Reuters the attack occurred when a man who had previously lost his leg detonated explosives hidden in a plastic prosthetic leg.
Today, Thursday, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on the school in Kabul.
