This was reported by Reuters, citing Swedish Justice Minister Morgan Johansson.

According to him, "this is a common thing."

“We are talking about a Turkish citizen who was convicted of fraud in Turkey in 2013 and 2016,” Johansson said.

At the same time, the suspect himself claims that in Turkey he was unfairly convicted because he converted to Christianity, refused military service and has Kurdish roots, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara received guarantees for the extradition from Sweden of members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which Ankara recognized as terrorist, there are more than 70 of them.

Erdogan also allowed Ankara to freeze the process of Sweden and Finland joining NATO if they do not fulfill a number of Turkish conditions.
