“Over the past two years since registration, the Sputnik V vaccine has become the most exported drug in the history of Russia,” he said.

Dmitriev added that Sputnik V is used in 71 countries of the world, where more than 4 billion people live.

The vaccine has also been shown to be highly effective against new mutations, including the delta and omicron strains.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Russia announced the extension of the expiration date of the Sputnik V vaccine.
