The high pressure over southern Sweden is strengthening, according to SMHI's forecasts.

In the landscapes along the Baltic Sea, it is expected to be up to 30 degrees warm from Friday and during the rest of the weekend.

Here, SMHI warns of high temperatures

Particularly high temperatures are expected in northern and central Kalmar county, and in southeastern Östergötland.

There, SMHI warns of very hot weather, around 30 degrees, from Friday to Sunday.

The warning is particularly aimed at people who have difficulty coping with heat – and at health care, which may have patients with problems due to the heat.

Cooler in northern Sweden

The risk of forest fires is also very high in many places in southern Sweden.

In northern Sweden, the weather will be cooler, especially on Friday, with occasional rain and strong wind in the mountains.

On Saturday, the wind will subside in the north and it will be a little warmer, but also some rain showers.

This is why you sweat more at the end of summer than at the beginning:
