In five years, Disney has won its bet to switch the audience of its films, its series and television channels to its

streaming

offers , but also to overtake the pioneer Netflix.

Disney therefore becomes the largest

streamer

, with 221 million paying subscribers in total.

The platform now captures more than 45% of American consumers.

A rich catalog

This performance is explained by the richness of its catalog but also by its franchises such as

Star Wars

or Marvel, offers that have attracted new customers outside the United States.

Its success is also based on its commercial policy, notably with very competitive prices in an environment where the major players in the sector are waging a merciless war.

New subscription formulas

To consolidate its domination, the entertainment giant has announced the arrival of a new subscription formula with advertising, for the United States, at eight dollars per month, which will be offered from December.

Another - without advertising - therefore more expensive will go to eleven dollars.

With a turnover up 26% over one year, the Disney title reassured investors.

Following these good results, the action soared 7% on Wall Street.
