"Ten years later, back on a mythical rally: @AcropolisRally", tweeted the 48-year-old Frenchman, who won three times in Greece, in 2005, 2008 and 2012.

The nine-time world champion between 2004 and 2012, who is taking part in a few events this year with M-Sport, won the Monte-Carlo Rally in January, becoming the oldest winner in the WRC at 47 years and ten months.

After this 80th victory obtained against his French rival Sébastien Ogier, another "freelancer" this season, Loeb then took part in the rounds of Portugal and Kenya, with less success: an abandonment then an 8th place.

He will once again be accompanied by his co-driver Isabelle Galmiche on the Acropolis Rally in Greece, the 10th round of the season.

Winner of five rounds out of eight already contested, Finland's Kalle Rovanpera is well ahead before the next rally in Belgium (August 18-21).
