“Vladimir Mau has returned to his duties as rector of the Presidential Academy,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the press service of the university.

It is noted that on August 2, Mau was released from house arrest on bail. 

In June, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow placed Mau under house arrest in a case of embezzlement.

On June 30, it became known that Vladimir Mau was charged with embezzlement of the university's funds.

Mau is accused in a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale.

Previously, it was initiated against the former Deputy Minister of Education of Russia, Marina Rakova, and the rector of Shaninka, Sergei Zuev.
