During the last three-month period, house prices in Värmland have increased by three percent.

At the same time, prices have gone down in the country as a whole.

Maria Ekängen at Länsförsäkringar's property agency believes that to some extent this can be explained by the fact that there is little construction at the same time as many families with children are looking for villas.

- We would look positively at more villas being built, says Maria Ekängen.

At the same time that house prices have risen in Värmland, condominium prices in the county have fallen, although not as much as in the country as a whole.

In the last three months, condominium prices fell by roughly seven percent nationally, while the drop in Värmland remained at two percent.

In the video above, broker Maria Ekängen gives her explanation as to why house prices have gone up in Värmland, while they have fallen in the country as a whole.
