Ukraine: Russian bombing disrupted a vital bridge

The Ukrainian army said that a bridge near the Nova Kakhovka Dam in the south of the country has become unusable, after it was bombed by missiles.

The army's Southern Command said on Facebook today, Wednesday, that "the strike was accurate and effective," but the Russian forces did not confirm this information.

Yesterday, the Russian "RT" channel reported that the bridge is constantly being bombed through the North Crimean Canal and the dam itself.

Russia invaded most of the Kherson region in southern Ukraine on the lower reaches of the Dnipro River shortly after entering the country in February.

The Ukrainian army is systematically trying to destroy the only three crossings of the river using long-range missile systems to prevent the Russian army from re-supplying on the right bank and to enable the recapture of the area.

The railway bridge and the land bridge near Kherson became unusable due to the attacks of the Ukrainians.

The Russian forces built a ferry route for civilians as an alternative, and it was reported that they built several bridges for boats to cross the river, which is one kilometer wide.
