Since mid-June, there have been at least 22 fires in Köping and Kolsva, according to police statistics.
The police are investigating several of the fires as arson and now have a suspect, which Bärgslagsbladet/Arboga newspaper was the first to report.
These have mainly involved fires in containers, waste rooms and bushes.
During the summer, the municipality and the police together intensified cooperation, both operationally and preventively.
This by hiring external security guards and having the police on site in Kolsva, where the rescue service also patrols.
