China News Service, August 10. According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, recently, several Chinese citizens living in Spain reported to the Chinese Embassy in Spain that some criminals pretended to be embassy staff to notify important documents. The embassy in Spain hereby reminds:

  1. Be vigilant, do not trust unfamiliar calls, do not disclose personal information, and do not easily transfer or remit money.

  2. For verification, please call the 24-hour consular protection and assistance hotline of the Chinese Embassy in Spain (0034-699089086).

  3. If you have been deceived, please notify the bank of your account to freeze the transfer and remittance as soon as possible, and report the case to the Spanish and domestic public security organs.

If the victim is unable to report the case directly to the domestic public security organ, he may entrust a domestic close relative or a lawyer to report the case.

  4. It is recommended to download the National Anti-Fraud Center APP (with functions of reporting cases and incoming calls) to learn anti-fraud knowledge and improve awareness of prevention.
